Joyous June Greetings from Mary’s Healing Hands
Hello Friends,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the season! All this rain has made everything so green and lovely, a feast for the eyes. all the senses…unless you have allergies. If so, you have my condolences, but this too shall pass 🙂
So many of you are doing a lot of chores, spring cleaning, gardening, etc., and are hurting as a result. Perhaps you would enjoy this month’s special : a 90 minute massage for $80 instead of my usual $90. The extra time will allow more work to all of those achy muscles. Gift certificates are available at this reduced cost as well throughout the end of the month.
Sadly, this year I will not be participating in Waterford’s farmers market. Thanks to you all, my practice is quite busy, yet I find that I must balance my work and personal life better. There are so many hours in a day no matter how hard I try to change that 🙂 The market has been a wonderful experience for me and I will truly miss it, it was not an easy decision to make by any means.
This month’s yoga class schedule with my daughter Christine is as follows :
Wednesdays at 2 pm: Waterford Community/Senior Center, 46 Fourth St., open the the public – chair yoga $4
Thursdays at 1 pm: Halfmoon Senior Center, 2 Halfmoon Town Plaza, must be a member of seniors, – chair yoga $3
Thursday evenings at 6pm here at my home- chair yoga $8- space is limited so please reserve your spot in advance :
June 1st
June 8th
June 15th
June 22nd
Please note that there will be no class on Thursday evening, June 29th
Please loose, comfortable clothing. Chair yoga is a great choice for beginners who are interested in trying yoga for the first time. Some of the many benefits of chair yoga include improved body awareness, balance, strength, mobility, circulation, lung capacity, digestion, mental clarity, stress and anxiety relief.
As many of you know, my dear friend Lee Lewis of Ladybug Soap in Westerlo recently suffered the total loss of her home to a fire that hospitalized her, her husband Dave and her 16 year old son, Thomas. They are recovering from burns to their skin and airways. Presently, they are awaiting the discharge of their son from Syracuse University Hospital and will be heading back to Westerlo to a rental property they own. Please keep them in your prayers.
Embrace each day as the gift that it is and stay well,
Mary
