Restore and renew, yes, I can hear you all now, here she’s goes again, nagging at us to take better care of ourselves! But you see I am compelled to do so, not sure why, but I know it helps me get back on track…I fall off a lot 🙂
We all have so much to do everyday but being an exhausted martyr at the end of the day serves no good purpose for anyone. Take a few minutes here and there to recharge your battery; be smart about self care. You may know by now that I’m a firm believer in doing what you can, when you can, to take care of yourself better. Breathe deeply, stretch, try to eat right and don’t overload your “to do” list…try to take a moment to smell the flowers.
Found a new little something that makes sense and only takes a couple of minutes. Yes, it’s yoga, but it’s simple and quick and so terrifically refreshing. Please take a moment to check out this pose from Yoga International:
For those of you that are groaning about getting on the floor, a physical therapist told me the most important thing I can do for myself is to get down on the floor and get back up again, regularly. After breaking my right arm last spring and left knee surgery in the fall, getting down on the floor and getting back up was quite tricky. Practice helps and while I’m not the prettiest sight getting up, at least I can get up! Do not become the commercial “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”. Get on the floor and get back up again, do yourself that favor for heaven’s sake! Laugh at yourself a little bit too
