Spring always makes me feel like I’m waking up from the deep slumber of winter. And when you wake up, it’s good to stretch a bit. Gentle regular stretching can do so much to help you relieve stress and feel better. Here’s a link to one of my favorite videos that takes just a few minutes, quick and easy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MypjOs5ZC8c
And since we all know that health IS wealth, please take some time to make sure you have had your annual physical exam and are up to date on diagnostic tests (colonoscopies, mammograms, prostrate checks, stress tests, all the “fun” stuff). And please remember to make an appointment with your dentist too! Keep those pearly whites and your mouth healthy 🙂 We all know that things can go
wrong, but take care of yourself now, catch things early, and you’ll do yourself a favor!
This month’s special is a 10 minute bonus massage for your tired, hardworking hands. The muscles and bones in your hands and forearms function together in beautiful harmony and deserve some extra attention! A variety of massage techniques will be used to loosen the connective tissue, relax the muscles/tendons and increase flexibility of the fingers and wrists. Let me know at your appointment if you’d like to give your hands this extra 10 minute
treatment. And speaking of hand working hands, the hot paraffin lavender wax is a deep moisturizing treatment for your skin and the warmth feels great on your joints. Just $5 extra to add this to your appointment, and let me know in advance as it takes a while to prepare the wax.
Chair yoga and floor yoga classes with Christine (Black Bird Yoga) will continue here on Crow Hill in April on the following dates:
Chair yoga: Thursdays at 6pm on 4/6, 4/13, 4/20 and 4/27- each class is $8
Floor yoga: Saturdays at 11am on 4/18 and 4/22- each class is $8
Please call or email to reserve your spot as space is limited. Wear loose,
comfortable clothes and beginners are always welcome! Chair yoga is scheduled to begin at the Waterford Community Center this May, Wednesdays at 2pm.
Remember to take care of yourself every day as simply as you can: breathe, drink lots of water, eat more produce, get enough rest, do a little gentle stretching daily and do more of what makes you smile 🙂
