Movement does a body good!
Movement does a body good. I recently saw a photo with a caption that read “Sitting is the new smoking”. It depicted several people in business attire at a conference table in various stretching/action poses, rather than just sitting. Interesting and true, we are just not designed to sit for long periods of time. And we’re feeling it, in our knees, hips, back and neck.
So do your body a favor and move regularly during waking hours. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how you’ll feel better. Try to avoid sitting longer than 20 minutes, get up and stretch. Make regular stops at the water cooler, resulting in frequent strolls to the bathroom, it’s all good movement
. And autumn is great for walks outside, even just a short one around the block; nothing like a bit of fresh air to clear out the mind.
Please take some time to take care of yourself, put your health first on your “to do list”. Keep yourself well so you can keep enjoying life!
