Spring is coming so it’s time to declutter our lives and make room for more sunshine in our days! And if you think I mean clean out closets and drawers you would be mistaken, my friend. What I’m referring to is the little “stuff” that fills our days at no benefit to ourselves.
Please consider this for a moment, is your TV on now? Are you actively engaged in a program or is it just background noise? Turn it off and just “be” in the quiet. Look out the window for awhile, thankful that you’re not out in the cold, in the silence, for just a few minutes. Consider being grateful for what you have, for just a little while, each day.
Maybe in those few moments, you think about what you’re doing today, tomorrow or next week. Are there things that you just do out of habit? Will you walk away from your smart phone, computer, tablet etc. for 10 or 15 minutes and enjoy your own company? Perhaps examine your life’s journey to date and make some small changes to help yourself be a wee bit more at peace with yourself.
